Farewell Pestimonial At Orange City Church

The Ladies Aid of the First Reform church led a farewell march to the Kuyper home in Orange City on a Monday evening. They brought loaves and fishes and were warmly welcomed by the family and friends. Attendants included Rev Stapelkamp, Mrs Nieuwendorp, Mrs Moret, Mrs Luymas, and many others from Vella, Iowa, and surrounding areas.

Orange City High School commencement honors list and captions

The Orange City High School commencements featured diploma presentations by G Ray President Board of Education and included a vocal duet and numerous student oratory and dramatic pieces. Frost damaged gardens as Nellie Dingeman daughter of Daniel Dingeman underwent appendicitis surgery with improved condition. Dr H Baron traveled to Dallas for a National Medical Society convention and planned a southwestern swing afterward.

Pioneer Leendert Van Velt Dies After Long Frontier Life

Leendert Van Velt born April 6 1822 in Charlois South Holland died Sunday night in Orange City. An early Use County pioneer who came from Pella in 1870 with wife and four children Dirk Bert Andrew and Mary he homesteaded near town and built a fine farm. Surviving are seven children and forty one grandchildren with eighteen great grandchildren. Funeral held yesterday at two from Firnby Ikeformed church.
