President Samuel Gompers of the American Federation of Labor affirms support for equal legal political and economic rights for women at the 18th Annual AFL Convention. Delegates from Detroit and Kansas City endorsed a petition to Congress for constitutional amendment and urged formation of unions for wage earning women to secure equal pay for equal work. Fraternal greetings to attendees in Grand Rapids accompany the remarks.
