Decoration Day Observance For Rock Valley Veterans
Decoration Day will be observed by the G. A. R. and W. R. C. in Rock Valley on May 30 with Rev. Jesse Cae of Ireton and W. C. Leonard as main speakers. A program is being prepared for the day. Gerrit Klay of our town and Jake Van der Meide of Orange City returned from Des Moines after taking the Supreme Court bar examination. Seventy three candidates sought admission. fifty eight passed, including a woman and a Drake University educated Black student. Both Sioux County men earned high ranks. neither will begin practicing law yet, continuing their current occupations.

Maine Day Observance Urged by National Monument Committee
