Ida Grove Jan 14 The failure of Gray Babcock Sears was announced Friday. They ran extensive grain operations with elevators at Odeboldt Arthur the Creek and Ida Grove. The McCray commission house of Chicago and savings banks are the largest creditors. Small amounts are due farmers on grain. The firm had been in business over ten years. Mr J D Babcock was active and prominent in the state as secretary of the Grain Dealers Association and head of their mutual insurance Company.
