Two Iowa trials report bigamy and prison crowding
In Eldora Dec 20 a case before Justice Burling accuses Cora Parrish of lewdness with John Hutchinson who had a prior wife. Hutchinson, once Whitton town marshal, faced bigamy charges and received a penitentiary sentence but was released earlier this month. In Algona courts Judge Thomas presided over 30,000 dollar forgery cases involving land deeds and forged receipts.
