Wilbur Wallace 12 and another boy were pulled from the water after one sank, OConnor removed clothing and carried them to shore. Wallace revived after artificial respiration.

A long running family feud ended in a street brawl near John Zeffies’s home on South Howard. Zeffies his wife and their 15 year old daughter beat Mrs Mehas leaving her with scalp wounds and bruises. The three Zeffies are charged with assault and battery. Mrs Mehas is hospitalized under care of Dr E E Morgan. The Mehas husband is jailed on a liquor nuisance charge.
