A fragmented item reports J Roderick Robertson demanding return of fare money advanced by him for men hired with him for the Enterprise. The verse fragment questions leadership, unions, and Canadian incursions, referencing the Ymir wilds and an armed host.
Editorial argues the Enterprise mine hiring mix could risk dividends and safety as sailors, lumbermen, clerks and five to six miners are brought in. It cites Payne Mining Company importing foreigners, reports an accident among Finns, and urges Mining Inspector visits. It condemns worker exploitation and calls for eight hour law support and safer practices.
Reports claim ignorant labor at the Payne mine caused injuries among workers. Government Mining Inspector urged to probe and charge negligence if true.
