C J McClure of Leadville Colorado visited his brother S C McClure foreman at Galena Minea. Mr and Mrs N F McNaught returned from Slocan City and reoccupy their cottage. Secret Hagler of the London Miners Union, arrested for unlawful assembly, appeared before Judge Lilly Jase and was committed for trial. bail set at 1000 dollars.

A Night With Tennyson at Silverton Literary Society

A Wednesday Literary Society meeting featured Rev. Roberts with a Tennyson lecture that drew a large audience and was praised as the best yet. Miss Pase of New Denver sang Sweet and Low while violinist Ele Zmmerman, in his Silverton debut, delivered impressive solos. A final vote thanked Roberts and Amr Merman for their roles.
