A Carson county Republican meeting in the district court room erupted into a farce with heated rhetoric and a mid event brawl between Attorneys Dupuis and Roberts. A witness called the gathering a disgrace to the city and the rankest affair witnessed. Separately, four African Americans were lynched by a mob in Pontchatoula Louisiana amid rising burglar activity.
An old advertisement touts a one day cure for colds with Laxative Bromo Quinine Tablets. It promises a refund if it fails and features E. W. Grove's signature on each box priced at 25 cents.
