Mines and Mining News From Western US and Ohio
The Vulcan company plans smelting ore from Esmeralda county mines this week. Eureka county shipments reached 228 tons and White Pine 77 tons last week. An Ontario mine in Park City Utah yielded a ten foot ore body with 470 ounces silver. An electric pump for the Co. and C. shaft by Risdon Iron Works nears completion and may ship by the 23rd to test pumping and future scale for dewatering the 2500 level.

The Humboldt County Board of County Commissioners will meet on Monday September 16 1901 as a Board of Equalization to hear complaints on assessed values for A D 1901. The assessment roll remains open for inspection at the County Clerk's office until adjournment.
