Equaization Board weighs railroad lands tax cuts
The Board of Equaization met with all members present. Judge Bonnifield asked for reduction of the railroad company's unpatented lands and the aide track. Lands were assessed 4 cents per acre this year, up from last year's 4 cents. The side track rose from 5 000 to 6 000 dollars per mile. The board scheduled a hearing for September 21.
