Special dispatches report President McKinley slipping toward death with doctors summoned and state of weak heartbeat. Updates from 3:20 to 6:30 A.M. describe sinking condition, temporary rally, semi stupor, and fluctuating signs as officials fear for his life.
The President’s physicians report his condition improved since morning. He complains only of fatigue and remains on ample food as heart extract dosage is doubled. Doctors expect the outer wound to take weeks to heal and advise a month of quiet at Milburn House Buffalo.
Clarence Spaulding George Dirks and Chester Kenney found cliff markings and flint arrow heads twelve miles north of Virginia Ohio they believe the marks are from cliff dwellers once in Arizona and New Mexico possibly spreading to Oregon by the sixth century two pieces of marked rock were exhibited at the office.

A dog with Miss Margaret Russell tags along on horseback outings. The canine climbs onto the pony behind her, sits across the saddle, and holds on with her feet. She even tries to crowd Miss Russell from the saddle when loose in the yard.
Notice that the Humboldt County Board of County Commissioners will convene on Monday September 16 1901 as a Board of Equalization to hear complaints on assessed values and adjust valuations as needed. The assessment roll remains open for public inspection until adjournment.
