President McKinley Shot at Pan American Exposition
Special to the Silver State from Reno Nevada reports President McKinley was shot at 4 40 pm near the Ethnological Building at Buffalo New York while en route to the Temple of Music. Two shots hit him. one in the breast, one in the stomach. The assassin, an anarchist from Detroit of Polish nationality, claimed duty. Fred Nie man identified as the shooter. President resting easier after bullet extraction and surgery. Police prevented lynching.
