Churchill Borax Mines to Begin Large Scale Operations

Major W A Desborough and chemist Prof Formhals arrived from San Francisco to inspect the Cal Vada borax property near Cottonwood. They found crude previous methods and plan a new leaching plant to improve yield and efficiency. Work is set to start in about two months with a boiler and tanks shipped, offices at Boyer, and telephone connections to Churchill County.

Mayor ``Culverwell'' Uses Shotgun to Halt Railroad Work
