Home Finding Society seeks eight year old boy in Carson Valley overworked and mistreated. Samuel Fuller killed by cave in at Little Joe mine in Butte Montana, former Austin resident. Robert Hunter, long-time Comstock resident, died in county hospital. claimed to be Black Watch veteran. Railroad plans include a deep cut near cattle corral and possible detours leaving Wells and Halleck off main line. Henry Godfrey found dead at Obiston shaft due to heart trouble.

Mines and Mining Highlights From Nevada Regions

Nevada mining notes report Oleander mine in Peavine district with a sixty foot vein of $10 ore. Dexter mine ships $8,500 to Salt Lake. Yield September around $15,000. Lead ore moved from Rabbit mine in White Pine to Eureka for Salt Lake. Ore values $25 per ton in gold. Virginia City mining class led by Professor Dye at Comstock for three months. Rocco-Homestake ships about seventy-two tons weekly of lead ore from Hamilton to Colorado smelters. White Pine produced more ore this summer than any county except Eureka. Blair estate legatees plan to resume work in Blair mines at Silver Peak before year end. Golden Eagle at Silver Peak shows $132 gold value per ton. Virginia Chronicle promotes Elixir and other ads.
