On the night of September 22 or morning of 23 1899, a bay saddle horse with white facial stripe about 900 pounds, marked Bull Head on the left thigh, was stolen from Bull Head ranch on Little Humboldt river. Also taken were a heavy flowered saddle, San Francisco Main and Winchester stamp, leather saddle bags with damage, a common bridle with a modified bit, and related gear.
