Fatal Railroad Accident in Beowawe Area
Mark T Wilson head brakeman on Conductor Eugene Trousdale’s crew was fatally injured about 11:25 AM three miles east of Beowawe after a fall between cars as he crossed toward the engine. He had worked as a brakeman about three months after leaving the Lafayette hotel. An inquest will be held at Battle Mountain. the body was taken to Reno for burial. No blame assigned, cause unknown.

In Telegraph canyon near Cherry Creek White Pine county Nevada two armed men robbed W G Griswold of four dollars then shot him in the back as he faced them. They took his saddle and his horse then rode off toward Eureka. A posse pursued but the trail was lost and dispersed.
