Mystery Bundle Found In East River Associated With New York Case

The New York Police report a bundle believed to contain entrails found wrapped in a white canvas bag at the East River foot of Dover Street. Bloodied tissue includes gauze marked M A T and the find may relate to the woman’s left thigh found on Fifty seventh Street last Saturday. No link to the murder is confirmed at the morgue.

Overland Limited trains change numbers and routes

The new passenger services named the Overland Limited start next Sunday the 15th with trains Nos 1 and 2 running Ogden to San Francisco via Reno and Sacramento. Train No 2 departs San Francisco at 8:00 AM and reaches Ogden at 12:45 AM. No 1 leaves Ogden at 12:30 PM and arrives San Francisco at 5:15 PM. After the change odd trains run westbound and even trains eastbound.

Altar Society members are asked to attend at the Lafayette hotel on Thursday October 12 at 3 P M to transact important business.
