An advertisement touts Syrup of Figs as a pure liquid laxative that cleanses the system and eases colds headaches and fevers without weakening organs. It claims broad medical approval and sales by druggists in 50 cent and 1 dollar bottles, manufactured by the California Fig Syrup Co and sold under the Syrup of Figs name.
