Irving and Terry to Tour Five Months Next Season
The notice states Irving and Terry will undertake a five months tour of the country next season. Paris actresses wear paper lace that looks delicate at night and costs little. On stage, Mr. Mansfield’s Cyrano employs 150 people beyond his main staff. Auguste Van Biene has starred in The Broken Melody nearly 2000 times in England, but the piece failed here. Rene Luguet of the Gymnase company retires at 85 after appearing in the original La Dame aux Camelias cast and serving as stage manager. An anti Semitic theater opens in Vienna with Jews barred from plays and a plot of ground and large subvention granted by the municipal council. Laurence Irving allegedly imitates his father in The Crystal Globe, a London melodrama, while the younger Irving is praised as a clever actor.
