Vic DeLong sues W B Sallender D V McBride and Charles McBride in Humboldt county Nevada for foreclosure of a miner's lien of 295.50 on the Granite King Mining Claim in the Potosi Mining District. The suit seeks sale of the claim to satisfy the lien and costs, with default warning if defendants fail to answer within 10 to 40 days. Attorney John T Wheeler signs the summons dated September 28, 1900.
United States Land Office in Carson City Nevada announces F A Hyde San Francisco California has filed an application to select under the 1897 act a tract described as NW of NW Sec 22 and NE of Sec 34 T28N R41W. Protests within thirty days claim minerals value over agricultural use. Registered C H Gallup date October 30 1900.
Official canvass lists vote totals for candidates with majorities and plurality margins. Bryan McKinley leads for president. Newlands wins congress. Fitzgerald and Evans carry key benches. Pitt and Van Duzer winners noted along with sheriff and clerk races. margins range from 45 to 464 with multiple party candidates across county posts.
Nevada voters list incoming Senate and Assembly members with party labels and holdover statuses. The Senate includes Churchill Williams and others. Assembly names include Churchill Allen and Skaggs with party affiliations noted. Recapitulations show Democratic, Silver, Independent, and Republican totals.
State Land Office in Carson City files List No 234 under the 1880 act for lands to patent. Public inspection is allowed and protests must be filed within sixty days alleging mineral value over agricultural use for the listed subdivision W% of NW% Sec 8 T27N R32E M D M containing 80 acres. Notice to taxpayers announces that Humboldt County Nevada assesses state and county taxes for 1900. Full payment due by December 3, 1900 or half by that date with remainder by June 3, 1901. Delinquency 10 percent if unpaid after December 3. Poll taxes due with first payment. Office: Treasurer Winnemucca Nevada. H S Gilbert county treasurer November 5 1900.
