The Western Plowman quotes Dr J H Hanford claiming early cough treatment arrests consumption and that Kemp’s Balsam for the Throat and Lungs saves many from it. Lag bottles 25c and 50c available from Brown Bros. Also touts De Witt’s Witch Hazel Salve as a quicker safer remedy for piles offered by Brown Bros.
Advertises Snuffles as a complete one dollar treatment for catarrh including internal and external medicine. Claims to cure inflammation discharges and hay fever and warns untreated catarrh can lead to consumption. Offers prepaid mail order from Philadelphia company with personal advice from the discoverer.
