Mammoth Group rich mineral deposit near Mill City

A Nevada mining prospect named the Mammoth Group in Star district, about twelve miles southwest of Mill City, is reported as a vast ore body with silver values from ten to 110 ounces and gold from five to twenty dollars per ton. Owned by Woolcock and Phillipe, the site features easy ore outcrops, tramway potential, and electric power from Star Creek. Officials have shipped ore to Selby Smelting Co and expect further dealings with San Francisco parties. The claim is valued at about fifty thousand dollars.
