A well known east side resident helped a drunken man home after he stumbled from a lamp post. At the door the inebriate asked for the name of his helper and mistook him for St Paul. The helper then revealed his own name and recounted the recurring interruptions by the distressed man seeking from Corinthians.

Historic advertisement style note touts Mrs Winslow's Soothing Syrup for teething babies and claims it relieves teething pain and diarrhea. Also promotes DeWitt's Witch Hazel Salve, DeWitt's pills, Lane's tea, and Brown Bros. as sellers with brief claims of cure and ease.
