An advertisement promotes Scott's Emulsion of cod liver oil with hypophosphites as a direct nourishment for patients at risk of wasting. It claims rapid blood delivery, reduces wasting, and aids bronchial and lung troubles. The product is described as non nauseating, salmon colored, sold in 50 cent and 1.00 dollar bottles by druggists.
A collection of quips and jokes featuring Mrs Decree and Mrs Document on divorce, a kinetoscope in a quarrel, a laughing leading lady, and weighty captions. An African trader schemes as a clerk is told to mail a dead man’s news home. A cashier’s flight and a trader’s mockery close the odd panel.
Notice in Carson City Humboldt County Nevada lists Biro Parker and Randall Sage as settlers filing for final proof June 9 1897. It names witnesses Bird Parker Robert Wilkinson Clarence Sage and Guss McAninen to prove residence and cultivation of lands in township 47 north range 48 east Me Dermitt area. Registered by H GALLUP.
District Court in Nevada Humboldt County requires all interested parties to appear May 17 1897 at 10 am in Winnemucca Courthouse to show cause why a distribution order should not be made for the residue of the estate of Samuel Strieff deceased. County Clerk Geo E Miller signs notice dated April 20 1897.
