Arrangements are complete for a relief fundraiser in Centennial Hall tonight. Attendance is urged from all who can and those unable to attend should buy a ticket. The ball aims to be enjoyable and all proceeds go to charity. Supper will be served at the Capital Restaurant opposite the hall.
An outfit of wagons tents and gear reached the depot today for a surveying party under od. H. Bates and C.K. to survey the line of a proposed railroad from the Central Pacific at this place to Oregon. Surveyors expected tomorrow and will start in the field as soon as ready.

W Hymer stood pale in a crowded courtroom as the Supreme Court remittitur affirmed the lower court and directed a fixed execution date. The judge set Tuesday April 27 between 9 am and 5 pm, remanding Hymer to the sheriff. He left with calm demeanor, speaking briefly to his counsel.
The Decatur News from Greensburg Indiana dated March 10 reports the death of Allen D. Conner son of Dr G R Conner and brother of Mrs C Chenoweth from scarlet fever. The mother and a younger brother also suffer the fever. The outbreak proves very fatal with many child deaths in Greensburg.
