The Silver State in San Francisco reports the latest board of stock listings with varied price points for rail, ore, and mining shares. Numbers show many equities fluctuating across names like Eureka, Rye Patch, Manhattan, Caledonia, Ophir, Overman, and Union with mixed gains and losses as market action opens. Gold and silver prices are noted, with a closing summary stating gold opened in New York at 14 percent.

The Social Club event at Centen nial Hall last night drew fewer attendees than expected. Those who attended enjoyed themselves and made up for the small crowd in spirit. A supper served at Miller's restaurant left general satisfaction.
W. J. Hopkins, who has plowed and harrowed for local farmers, notes upland fields show grain crops in, while wetter farms begun work only recently. Farmers are busy plowing and sowing, resuming field work as conditions allow.
Congressmen Going Howe Luttrell of California and Lane of Oregon paused here last evening homeward bound. They say everyone in Washington expects Tilden to win, but Wall Street influences have helped Hayes.

Five room dwelling on Third street advertised for rent with terms available at this office. Also promotes Guxon's Sulphur soap claiming dandruff remedies and scalp moisture via pore opening.
An early 20th century advertisement touts August Flower as a cure for dyspepsia and liver complaints. It claims over three quarters of Americans suffer these ailments and lists symptoms like sour stomach and heartburn. The ad promotes a 75 cent bottle and a 10 cent sample, with two doses claimed to relieve. It cites Crane & Brigham, San Francisco, as wholesale agents.
The ad touts Wood's Improved Hair Restorative as a unique remedy with vegetable tonic properties. It promises to restore gray hair to natural color, revive faded or harsh hair, remove dandruff and irritation, and curb baldness signs. Sold by druggists and dealers, with manufacturer pricing through C. A. Cook & Co. in Chicago.
