Virginia Chronicle reports a mass walkout at Hale and Norcross mine with 21 workers leaving their posts in protest of new superintendent Tangerman. President Lynch and directors visited the site but workers barred Tangerman from entering, causing the mine to be turned over by ex-Superintendent Ryan after the surface departure.
