The popular cleanser Syrup of Figs is praised for refreshing effects and gentle action on kidneys liver and bowels. It claims to dispel colds headaches fevers and constipation without weakening organs and notes availability from druggists in 50¢ and 81 bottles. The California Fig Syrup Co manufactures it and prints its name on every package.

At a March 4 1895 meeting the Board of County Commissioners of Humboldt County Nevada approved numerous bills for armory rent hospital and indigent supplies plus coroner justice and public safety fees. Included are Dr J P Hurst hospital salaries 210.84 and 221.50, armory rents 75.00, road work payments to McAdams Hill and Lovelock, and various merchandise and services for county needs. The clerk E Dunn certified the bills as passed and paid.
Humboldt County Nevada invites proposals for the sale of 2009 in interest bearing bonds issued by the County Board to fund a bond repayment fund. Bonds are payable in lawful money, due in 16 years, with bid details, premium requirements, and right to reject any bid. Cited location Winnemucca with a December date.
