A 19th century style notice warns subscribers to inform the publisher if canceling, to pay arrears before cancellation, and to settle bills if papers are not collected. It declares that moving without notice, refusing or leaving papers unpaid, constitutes fraud and may lead to arrest under postal laws.
An 1870s notice promotes Mrs Winslow’s Soothing Syrup for teething children and claims it relieves pain, diarrhea, stomach issues, wind, and inflammation. It urges mothers to send for a bottle, notes price and global sale, and mentions A D Wilcox selling other medical preparations.
The firm of Foltz and Hays is dissolved by mutual consent with William D. Hays retiring. John B. Foltz will continue the business and assumes all outstanding obligations, with all accounts payable to him. Date January 28, 1806.
Advertisement extols Ayer's Sarsaparilla as effective for catarrh scrofula boils eczema carbuncles sores and all skin diseases. It claims equal effectiveness for rheumatism dyspepsia nervous debility and all issues from impure blood and invites readers to try it, asserting it has cured others and will cure you.
County Auditor J J Hill submits Humboldt County Nevada quarterly finances for year ending December 31 1895. Includes cash in treasury balance and indebtedness of Winnemucca and Lake School Districts, totaling over twenty two thousand five hundred dollars. County Treasurer P Laverga verifies cash amounts and fund apportionments.
The undersigned representing the estate of G R Walker announces a full line of coffins burial robes and undertaker supplies. Orders will be promptly filled and delivery is available in Winnemucca. 1894 date appears in the notice.
D J Hedley assignee of C T McIntosh insolvent debtor deposits a creditor statement with Humboldt County Clerk listing creditors and due amounts and pro rata shares. Creditors must show cause within fifteen days after first publication why the statement should not be accepted and distribution made per its contents. L F Dunn County Clerk date Feb 21 1896.
Sealed bids for furnishing a carload of coal to Humboldt County Nevada will be received by the Clerk of the Board of County Commissioners until 12 oclock noon Monday, 1896. The board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. By order of the Board, L. F. Dunn, Clerk.
