Death of Simeon Wenban Pioneer Miner of Nevada
Simeon Wenban a Nevada pioneer died Monday night at his San Francisco home from heart paralysis after months of illness. He moved to Lander county in 1862 and owned key silver mines at Cortez in Lander and Eureka counties. Wenban developed the property into a paying venture and grew wealthy from land and cattle interests in Nevada. He leaves a wife, daughters Mrs Shaw and Mrs Mills, and many grandchildren.
