Reno Journal says the switch arrives about September first, Eureka Sentinel cites August first. Shipping Cattle East To Nebraska Rail Car Load Planned

An eastern cattle buyer arranged to ship about fifteen hundred head by rail from this station to Nebraska. The market for cattle has shifted eastward with no shipments to San Francisco for months. A year ago San Francisco was the sole market for Nevada cattle, but now cattle are driven or sent east, leaving Humboldt steaks off breakfast menus.

Smash Up Delays Eastern Passenger Train Injures Mrs Clements

An eastern bound passenger train due at 10 40 A M did not reach until 2 00 P M after an accident at Isco where a special car carrying Superintendent Clements of the Track Department collided with a freight train. Mrs Clements was seriously injured and the fireman killed.

Boy claims Comanche captivity and seeks Reno voyage

The boy, naming himself Andrew Drake, says he was taken prisoner by the Comanches and lived with them for years. His father, believed killed or scalped in California, is said to live there. Charitable locals provided funds for his fare to Reno.
