Cowboy Preacher Arrested After Disturbing Peace
J. R. Rice known as the cowboy preacher was arrested by Constable Lovey for disturbing the peace after a street meeting and a late visit to saloons. He arrived from Lovelock with his wife and three children and was discharged in Justice Court after admitting drunkenness. He left town on No. 6 today.

Engineer Canady’s Condition Reported Improved
A telegram from Ogden says Engineer J. F. Canady, injured in the wreck near Carlin Sunday, has three broken ribs and two scalp wounds but no arm fracture. He is resting easily at the railroad hospital and his condition is improving, giving encouragement.
