Terrible Revenge of Soldiers Over Manila Outrage

War Department released a Brennenberg report recounting the February 6 capture of the Manila waterworks and pumping station. Victorious Americans Aid and Losses Reported

A dispatch from Manila notes a halted march from Antipolo to Morong over July heat with many fatigued soldiers. Colonel Wholley’s First Washington captured Morong, shelling by Napidan and Covadonga, 124 natives killed. A Washington detachment suffered one killed and fourteen wounded. Every Man in Town Fined for Contempt of Court

Princeban June 6. Every man in town was fined today for contempt of court after a petition by citizens urged the Grand jury not to indict insurance companies. No indictments were found. From Allentown Pennsylvania June 6 three men were smothered to death in a cave at H. D. Peters and Sons slave quarry in Berlinsville. The dead are Hebert Snyder with widow and seven children Jacob Seha ter with widow and four children and A Beers single. Hot Fight With Bandits In Wyoming Gulch Ambush

Sheriff Hazen of Converse county and the posse pressed the Union Pacific train robbers after a fierce engagement. The bandits abandoned their horses in a gulch and hid behind rocks while exchanging heavy fire. Sheriff Mazen was shot and dangerously wounded. he is being brought to Casper. Reinforcements are moving from Casper as authorities pursue the outlaws through the Hole-in-the-Wall country.
