Lovelock Niter Mines to Get Leaching Plant

W H Hamilton and Cunninghan arrive to inspect niter deposits near Lovelock. A leaching plant is planned within thirty days to extract water deposits, with wells already sunk and six men at work. Prof. Sith and Mr. Hamilton previously studied the property, reporting satisfactory results and strong potential for employment and town growth.

Pullman Co Taxes Nebr Washoe Assessor Secures Statement

In April the State Board of Assessors discussed taxing the Pullman Car Company under U.S. Supreme Court guidance. Deputy Assessor Beard sought a statement from Chicago showing 53 standard sleepers valued at 265,000 and 41 tourist cars with 910,364 miles. Nevada would tax roughly 28.87 miles yielding about 1,503,000. total state valuation exceeds 21,000,000 with all cars. The statement is sworn by A. S. Wansheimer of the Pullman Co. in Chicago.

The listed assets include ore, engine, cages, lumber, belts, rope, nails, tools, scrap iron, and fire weed. Redemption of Courthouse Bonds Notice in Humboldt County Nevada

Notice to bondholders that three thousand sixty seven dollars and twenty two cents is in the county treasury for redeeming the Courthouse Bonds issued in 1895. Bonds numbers 16 and 17 will be paid on presentation to the County Treasurer, and interest will cease thirty days from the date of the notice. By order of the Humboldt County Board of Commissioners.
