Louis Mel arrived from San Francisco this morning. A Pasquale of Paradise planned stockmin duties and was in town yesterday. Jate Jacobs, a drummer, came in from San Francisco. Edith Schwartz arrived yesterday from Paradise en route to San Francisco. Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Wightman left on No. 3 for St. Clair. Mr. and Mrs. George Hupt arrived from the west and stay at the Busch. Ed. Freemonth returned from San Francisco and headed to Paradise valley. Linebarger and Howard, owners of the Railroad hotel at Carlin, have dissolved their firm. Lord Talbot, hat drummer, greeted the town with a large selection of headgear. Chalmers McCormick returned from Santa Rosa and left for Quin River Crossing after visiting family. He was once a consumption patient deemed doomed by California doctors but has nearly fully recovered.
