A pack train of twenty ponies carrying rations between Santo Tomas and San Pablo in Laguna province was attacked by insurgents. Fifty soldiers under Lt. Ralston, Thirtieth Infantry, lost the train. two were killed, five wounded, nine missing. Lt. Ralston and thirty-four men returned with casualties. investigation underway. Roberts Committee Presents Competing Reports on Roberts Case

Washington Jan 20 Representative Taylor of Ohio the chair of the committee to investigate the Roberts case presented the majority report urging exclusion of Mr Roberts and said he would call it up Tuesday. Littlefield Maine offered the minority report supporting seating Roberts and expulsion. The minority was signed by Littlefield and Diamond. Five thousand copies ordered printed.
