A historical health advertisement extols Syrup of Figs as a premier laxative from the California Fig Syrup Co. It claims it relieves many ailments by gentle, internal cleansing without debility. The copy urges purchasing only the genuine eo arti cle product through reputable druggists for consistent results.
Ofets sold and baggage checked through to eastern points. Travelers Insurance tickets issued. Agent H Kitto handles services and tickets.
An old promotional claim extols Hood's Sarsaparilla as unequaled in merit and sales, asserting it purifies blood and vitalizes health. The ad recounts a boy who suffered rheumatic fever and a leg eruption of five sores, with doctors saying there was no help.
The item lists figures such as Crover Cleveland Adlai Stevenson Richard Olney John G. Carlisle Daniel Lamont and Hoke Smith of Interior. It notes William H. Harmon as agriculture secretary and Sterling Morton as a peace native leader, with Rutherford and M. Nossinger also mentioned as constable and official respectively.
A patient named Howard suffered scrofula for a year and a half with bone protrusions. Doctors warned of surgical bone scraping, and his condition worsened to the point he stopped eating. The family chose Hood's Sarsaparilla, which he began taking at the end of February.
The ointment claims instant relief for eczema, tetter, salt rheum and itching skin with many cures noted. It also treats itching piles, chapped hands, chilblains, frost bites and chronic sore eyes and costs 25 cents per box. Also recommends Dr Cady's Condition Powders as a tonic and vermifuge for horses.
Notice declares a general merchandising and ranching partnership named E. Kelphart & Co. formed January 1 1897 in Winnemucca Humboldt County Nevada with Edward Reinhart Moses Reinhart and Simon Reinhart as members. Notarized by S. J. Bonnifield Jr. on April 4 1897.
