Adverse Possession in Mining Claims Under Nevada Law

In mining claims the adverse possession period is two years to establish title, not five. Suit to eject or quiet title can fix disputed ownership, or file for patent within publication window to obtain clear government title. Locating aliens cannot legally hold a mining claim, though a patent may validate later work, and declarations of intent to become a citizen can relate back to the location.
