The ceremony for August Bartlemay of Paradise and Lizzie Oliver of Winnemucca was held January 6 1897 at Riel's ranch with Rev E Francis Brown officiating. Guests included Mrs James A Hill John Riel and FE Francis Brown. A large reception followed with a feast of chicken turkey goose salads and cakes before midnight.
