An advertisement touts SCROFULA remedy SCROFULA with cod liver oil and hypo phosphites of lime and soda. It claims to flesh the skin, redden cheeks, stimulate appetite, and aid digestion. It also promotes Scott’s Emul one at $1.00 from Scott & Bowne, New York.
Advertises Dr Cady’s Condition Powders as remedies for skin diseases in horses, claiming benefits as a blood purifier and vermifuge for a horse in poor condition.
Subscriptions continue unless express notice to end is given. Publishers may bill until arrears are paid. Refusing to take or moving without notice grounds fraud. Prepaying requires notice if not continuing. Post laws allow arrest for fraud by paper readers.
Listings show regular meetings and conventions in the Silver State block, including Annie LaVoy’s M of R sessions, Staunton’s building hall gatherings, Monday Pyeng conventions at Castle Hall, and weekly drill and business meetings of local units. Meetings occur on specified Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings with officers named.
