Brutal attack in Truckee ends with two railroaders free
In Truckee a brutal assault occurred as James Lyons and James Nee attacked Dick Em known as Whistling Dick. After a card game in Hall's saloon, Lyons accused him of cheating and used steel knuckles while Nee guarded, beating Em until nearly dead. They were later released after the case was dismissed.
