John C. Fall a longtime mining mercantile figure on the Pacific coast died at his San Francisco home on Tuesday at age 76. Born in Virginia in 1810 he built a large California and Nevada fortune, endured floods and panics, and left one surviving child, married thrice and connected to Col H J Thornton. He was a respected member of the Society of Pioneers.
