The census office released returns marking George Wallert as the man who butchered his wife and four children. Reports from Arlington, Minnesota place his capture near that town yesterday.
Notice to water consumers. The pump will start tomorrow at 8 o clock. Those who do not wish to use river water for domestic purposes should supply themselves with spring water before 8. Reports show Rio Tinto copper mine in Spain holds fifteen million tons in sight and employs about ten thousand men. A Sierra Nevada Mining Company verdict favored the plaintiff in a California dispute. Owens lake lands in Inyo county offer a 16000 acre placer site with aluminum in clay and a Robins mining district plant. Smitsonian Institute tests yield nickel copper and gold values. Calumet and Hecla copper costs per pound were about 10 1/2 cents in 1899 and 7 cents in 1897, with price rises linked to higher mining and building costs.
