The town of Yerington on the C C railroad was burned Friday night with arson suspected. The fire destroyed the business core and much of the homes, estimated loss around 50000 dollars, with two thirds uninsured. Firefighters were hampered by lack of water and hose was cut before the blaze. The town named Pizen Switch and Greenfield previously burned, neighbors suspect town enemies and Mason valley drifters may be involved.
