An old newspaper fragment promotes California Fig Syrup Co laxative as a health aid with personal testimonials and product claims. The piece also lists hotel sale, lost basket, and multiple political announcements for Silver party candidates in Humboldt and Winnemucca areas.

Readable fragments list United States government posts with President Vice President and cabinet names alongside Nevada state officials and Humboldt County offices. Names appear garbled but indicate state and local offices such as governor treasurer attorney general and sheriff with various county roles and district offices.
