Cheap Power at Comstock Elects New Electric Lift
The Pennsylvania smelter at Bandy Tish switches to electrical power from a generating plant in Cottonwood Canyon. Three No 4 aluminum wires carry 12 000 volts to the smelter, where transformers reduce to 450 volts for Westinghouse induction motors.
