Edward S. Spring plans to sue D B Lyman in the United States circuit court of Nevada for an accounting of his stewardship and stock trafficking in the Consolidated California and Virginia mine. Spring records 100 shares to establish standing and holds about 20,000 shares represented at 40,000. He accuses Lyman of misreporting ore, manipulating seam size and ore value to move stock, while noting a fresh ore body near the existing one and vowing to force reform rather than seek damages.
A mine owner details costly drilling changes and a fall in stock from ten to five while accusing Lyman of improper use of knowledge. He plans a thorough suit, backed by mining men, after visiting the mine in October and March to inspect dividends and profits. The letter hints at tensions with Flood and calls for a strong legal fight for the benefit of mine owners.
