N Levy and family arrived in town today from California. Senator Thompson of Central was in town today. Dr Loomis left this afternoon for Dan Glen to arrange work on the Lang Syne mine.
Christ Lark of Unionville returned home today a happy man after investing all proceeds from his Lang Syne mine interest into settling his accounts with supporters in hard times. He is praised as one of the noblest works of God, an honest man, with Suevens attending him in all his enterprises.
Alvaro Evans by his attorneys Ev ans and Bonnifield sues Castle and Able for an accounting and to appoint a receiver to oversee property of the Evans and Castle firm. The firm conducted buying selling slaughtering and shipping of beef cattle in Winnemucca during 1877 and 1878.

The venture plans to start work immediately with a ten stamp addition, total capital $20000, and a perfect title secured by a prior patent. The mine has a history of fluctuations but has yielded profits after recent improvements, and the sale is hoped to attract Eastern investment to Nevada’s mines.
J E Jones superintendent and owner of the Bayfield mine in IXL District visited yesterday en route to Hurcka with ore samples from multiple district mines. He predicts the district may rival five Nevada camps as ore bodies prove extensive with East Star assays ranging from hundreds to thousands of dollars per ton. Bayfield shaft at 45 feet uncovers rich ore on three sides of the foot wall as shallow digging continues.
