Injunction Issued Over Avada Grade Dispute In Utah

The Oregon Short Line wins a temporary injunction in the United States District Court at Carson restraining the Clark group from building on the Avada grade or interfering with Short Line tracklayers. Defendants have until June 7 to show cause why the injunction should not be permanent. The ruling empowers law enforcement to remove Clark men from the grade and right of way, with Clover Valley Junction operations and tunnels planned by June 7. The case hinges on the grade being laid on Right of way owned by the Short Line and affirmed by the Interior Department.
